Case study 01
The Hall eLearn
Full-stack mobile developer · end-to-end ownership
A two-sided e-learning marketplace for course creators and students. This was my first independently owned project at the company.
The challenge
The product needed a complete mobile implementation, compliant course payments, and reliable playback of videos delivered through short-lived AWS signed URLs.
The result
Shipped a maintainable cross-platform learning product and its supporting backend workflows, with in-app course purchases and a video playback solution tailored to the signed-URL constraints.
My contribution
- Built the Flutter UI from Adobe XD designs, implemented backend API functionality, and connected the app to production services and third-party integrations.
- Owned the Android and iOS implementation and worked across the supporting backend from initial development through release work.
- Migrated course purchases from a third-party payment flow to in-app products after App Store review required a different approach.
- Investigated the video player's source when expiring AWS signed URLs interrupted segmented streaming, then adapted it into an internally maintained package with the required request behavior.
